We started Scopia because we saw a gap: the evidence on quality monitoring was clear, but most endoscopy units had no practical way to do it.
We built Scopia because we believed every endoscopy unit — not just the best-resourced ones — deserves access to quality monitoring.
Our Story
Colonoscopy quality monitoring saves lives — the evidence is overwhelming. Yet in most hospitals, quality data is either not collected at all, or buried in spreadsheets that no one looks at.
We built Scopia to change that. Starting with a pilot at South Savo Hospital District, we developed a system that makes quality monitoring effortless: nurses log data in 60 seconds, endoscopists get automatic feedback, and chief physicians see everything on one dashboard.
The pilot led to a 20 percentage point increase in ADR and won the Finnish Medical Association Quality Award 2025. Today, we're expanding across Finland and into the Nordics, Austria, and Switzerland.
