Our Story
Scopia's story begins with a unique fusion of expertise and vision. Founded by a collaboration between three world-class gastroenterologists and two serial software entrepreneurs, the company was born out of a shared recognition of a significant challenge in healthcare: the variance in the quality of colonoscopies. These gastroenterologists, deeply embedded in the medical field, witnessed firsthand how disparities in colonoscopy quality could impact patient outcomes, particularly in the early detection of colorectal cancer. Their concern was not just clinical; it was deeply personal, driven by a commitment to patient care and the broader health community. On the other side, the software entrepreneurs brought a different but complementary skill set.
